
CAMPGROUND POLICIES
Stonehurst Family Campground Welcomes You!
Stonehurst Campground is a family oriented campground.
We reserve the right to take appropriate action to protect the rights of our guests, property and buildings, facilities and green spaces, for the benefit and safety of all.
In order to make your stay as enjoyable and pleasant as possible please observe the following:
Quiet Hours: 11:00pm to 7:00am. Children 12 and under are to be on their site by dusk. Teenagers must be on their campsite during quiet hours. Noise levels must be confined to your campsite. Quiet hours are strictly enforced. Please respect your neighbouring campers.
Registration: Please register immediately. Do not set up on a site or move from one site to another without first checking with the office. Only one family and one trailer per site, no tents, single family dining shelters excluded. You must be 19 years of age or older to rent a campsite. Maximum of two vehicles per site.
Check-In/Check-Out: Check in time is 2pm. Check out time is 1pm. If you would like to extend your stay please check with the office as soon as possible for availability.
Park Speed Limit: For the safety of our guests the speed limit in the park is 20 kilometres per hour on paved roads, 10 kilometres per hour on unpaved roads, as posted. Please observe it and watch for children.
Visitors: Visitors must leave the campground by 11:00 pm and are subject to the rules and regulations of the park. Maximum of 4 visitors (other than registered campers) per site please.
Pool: For the use of our registered guests and their minor age children and grandchildren only. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pets: Pets are welcome provided they are kept on a leash at all times. Pets must be properly and promptly cleaned up after. Pets are to be kept quiet at all times, and not left unattended at any time. Please do not take pets into the pool area.
Campfires: Campfires are permitted only in the pits provided, and flames should not exceed a height of 18 inches or 45 centimetres above the rim of the pit. Please do not move the fire pits from their location. Check at the office if you believe the fire pit is in a poor location. All fires must be extinguished no later than 12 midnight, or before retiring for the evening or leaving your site. Only the burning of proper firewood is permitted. Firewood is available at the campground store. No pallet wood permitted. Any cutting or burning of trees, branches, or other park property is not permitted, and will be treated as destruction of private property.
Grey Water and Waste: Absolutely no dumping or venting of dish water, sink water, shower or toilet on the ground. A dump station is provided at no charge to park campers. Please use it.
Outdoor Mats: Use grass friendly mats only, if placed on grass. For extended stays, three or more days, please move or roll up your mats during periods of the day or when away from your campsite, to allow the grass to stay firmly rooted.
Sewer Hookup: All full service sites must use a sewer elbow or gasket.
General Rules:
- Gas or diesel powered generators are not permitted.
- Fireworks are considered a fire and safety hazard and are not permitted.
- Consumption of alcohol on campsites only. Consumption of alcohol is not permitted in public spaces or while walking throughout the park.
- No washing of RV’s or personal vehicles.
- Vehicle repairs, other than essential emergency repairs to your trailer, are not permitted in the park.
- Commercial activities are not permitted in the park.
- Nonessential gas or electric motorized vehicles including golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, and dirt bikes, other than those used for grounds maintenance, are not permitted. Scooters or children’s motorized conveyances are not permitted on paved roads.
- The operation of drones or other motorized airborne devices is not permitted in the park.
